- Yoga provides the practitioner with valuable skills, including self-control, focus and patience and creates a significant opportunity for developing and maintaining a positive atmosphere in the nursery room/care setting.
- Yoga helps children develop their ability to concentrate, their imagination, as well as self-respect and respect for others.
Yoga4 is proud to support NDNA's healthy body, happy me campaign.
Healthy body, happy me is a national campaign run by NDNA to give nursery children the energy for play, learning and fun. The campaign now in its fourth year promotes healthy lifestyles for nursery children and their families. The campaign is taking place from 15 - 21 March 2010, each day during the week has a different healthy theme to encourage all aspects of a healthy lifestyle and nurseries can organise fun activities for each day.
Yoga4 is the exclusive sponsor of 'Feel Good Friday' which is taking place on 19 March 2010. Feel Good Friday will provide settings with ideas about how to incorporate yoga in to play and story time.
NDNA members can access exclusive information on NDNA's website about how to include yoga in their nursery activities and the importance of rest and relaxation in their setting. Over the years local authority health and safety and procurement professionals, with the support of the Health and Safety Executive, have developed the Contractor Health and Safety assessment scheme (CHAS). The scheme is available for use by any public and private sector organizations to use when shortlisting contractors, suppliers and consultants (companies) who apply to work for them. It provides information about the health and safety part of their application.
Companies apply to join the scheme so everyone knows they meet acceptable standards of health and safety compliance. Clients from both the public and private sectors are users of the scheme and our database. It makes sure a company is compliant with important parts of health and safety law. It will get rid of inconsistency where one employer but not others may judge some contractors compliant.
